I'm looking at a 2000 Accord for my daughter, the 4 door SE version. Any way it has the F23 VTEC engine and want to know how close related to the F20/22 engine this is.

Also anyone own an accord or have had one before from the 6th gen. that could offer some insight to what to look for or check out.

They arnt really anything a like at all.

 

the f23 is a sohc and has much lower compression. it's not much of a "performance" engine, but it doesn't stop people from putting intakes on it. hah

 

The F20/22 from the S2000 is entirely different than the Accord motor. For some reason, they kept the "F" designation. They couldn't be any more different, so it will be difficult to answer your question.
