hey guys so i have a problem and need your help heres what happened. I was on the highway heading up to seattle,wa for the honda tech meet this sat.so when i got into the highway.i shifted into fifth and it poped out of gear. I put it bck into gear and it wouldn't go.it would but rev So i thought that my clutch died on me. i went to adjust clutch cable and nothing happened just reved. but it would still go into gear and everything. got towed home took off the tranny and found out that the clutch was fine. then looked at the tranny and saw a gear thru the hole where the axles go into the tranny. so now i need a new tranny and need to find a tranny asap. what other trannys will work with my sohc zc which is in my 88crx dx? vancouver has no trannys any help appreciated!!

 

any 88-91 civic/crx tranny will work...make sure you get the proper clutch and flywheel if you use any other tranny besides a 88 tough...!!!

ok so i went to the junk yard couldn't find any. but some one told me while i was there that a tranny from a 91 civic dx would work? is this true?

 

O I know an 88 requires a diff clutch n all that cuz I have one.. I thought u were sayin don't get that year at all haha ok I see what you were sayin..

 

ok so i found this zc tranny http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/1930532883.html but will my axles from my crx fit it?

 

Well since u hava dx u can keep the hubs or get si ones. but w. A zc tranny you need 90-93 integra axles and a zc intermediate Shaft from a zc for drivers side I Believe but make sure its a zc.. I just to hell w. Zc trans so I wouldn't need to search forever I just went w. A diff si tranny lol

 

good news i found a tranny that was on a 88 crx si for $50. but im got it in and was bolting it in but 2 off my bolts dont go in all the way! do the bolts have a specific spot they have to go in?
