Default Seatbelt Chime Killer Yes It Can Be Done!!!

I read this thread and about twenty other threads on how to shut off the annoying buzzer!!! I heard everything from unplugging plugs and putting paperclips to jumper wires to soldering then theres the ho mo seatbelt police that have there two cents!!!! well none of that crap worked except the jumper thing but that may intefere with the airbag not sure on that!!! but you all can kiss my a$$ and give me praise for being the honda seatbelt chime killer!! I know you are all gettin antzy for the answer: THE ANSWER IS YES IT CAN BE SO EASILY DONE WITHOUT NO MODS TO WIRES AND NO JUMPER WIRE CRAP SO HERE GOES THE MILLION DOLLAR ANSWER FOLKS.....ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BUCKLE YOUR BELT HA HAH....JUST KIDDING READ ON I KNOW THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING YOU BUT I HAVE FOUND THE CURE SO WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY PRAISE YOUR ALL MIGHTY CHIME KILLER

THE FIX TO THIS IS SIMPLE, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

1. SMALL POINTY PIC WITH NO CURVES JUST A STRAIGHT PIC
2. INSERT THE PIC INTO THE BUCKLE WITH THE PIC ALL THE WAY TO THE SIDE( NOT DOWN THE MIDDLE) AND PUSH DOWN.
3. YOU WILL FEEL THE LOCK MECHANISM LOCK. BAM NO MORE CHIME!!! YOU CAN DO IT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AS WELL.
4. IF YOU TRY AND PUSH DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF IT YOU WILL NOT HIT THE CATCH AND WILL JUST FEEL IT COMING BACK UP. WHEN YOU DO IT ON THE SIDE YOU WILL HERE IT LOCK. WHEN YOU NEED TO ACTUALLY USE YOUR SEATBELT FOR RACING ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUSH THE RED UNLOCK BUTTON AND YOU WILL HERE IT POP BACK UP. THEN WHEN YOUR DONE BEATIN ON YOUR CIVIC AND ARE BACK IN CRUISE MODE YOU CAN JUST POP IT BACK DOWN. GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE ABOUT IT.

I found a much simpler way, no modifications required, zero cost and no ingenuity required.

Put on the seat belt and close the door BEFORE inserting the key.

I am so glad someone finally put 2 and 2 together and got 4.....

Putting in a blank buckle into the holster would accomplish the same task.....as was recommended in those threads.

So was modifying the wiring, which is not exactly what I would consider difficult.

Seriously...If I was moronic enough to want to drive around with no seatbelt, I'd trace the buckle onto a piece of lexan, cut it out, and put it in there. I thought of that when I was 16 (not saying I was the first by any means), so it doesn't take much thought.

civicxpress, From this statement I gather that in your opinion you only need your seat belt when you race but when you are cruising you don't. AND, you practice this method of "I only wear my seat belt when I'm racing or ragging on my car," right?

It's becoming quite annoying to see these types of threads being created. STOP trying to circumvent safety features of your vehicle. The seat belt is intended to worn WHENEVER you operate your vehicle.

63% of people killed in car accidents happens because they are not wearing their seatbelt.

I hated the chime not because I don't wear my belt but it's annoying as **** when you're dropping people off or taking off your belt as you're parking or sth. Luckily mine went away when I installed the brides.

Just take the gauge cluster out and throw it in the trash. Viola, no beep.

If you're really brave..or stupid just buckle the belt behind you. Ever wonder why they call them 'idiot lights' or 'idiot alarms'?

I figure you guys that don't belt up won't hear the chime through the hole in the winshield you just went through so why mess with it.

I am surprized this topic is even allowed in the forums, how to by-pass safety systems? Makes no sense what so ever.....hey but I am new and that's my 2 cents
