I noticed alot of cars on the road, with the tail lights tinted.I think the tail lights on the ef are ugly(not the 90-91 4 door) and wanted to see if anyone has pix of these tinted.Help me out!!

 

You've been to japan and saw a tinted taillight of a real EF? <sarcasm>

tinted tails are ugly

 

I dont have any pics on an EF, but I did it on both of my Saturns. IMO it only looks good on black cars, white cars with black accessories, and MAYBE blue cars with black wheels and other black stuff.

agreed. i was looking at si tails for my black coupe but saw a guy with tinted si tails and decided it looked better than the clear ones. imo the clear ones work best on a light color car and the tinted lights only work on black/dark color cars. don't mind my sisters pink focus , the hatch is hiding behind it lol

 

I would not paint the tail lights.I would have them tinted(which I can always change).I saw a CRX in Honda Tuning about a year ago with the tail lights tinted,it looked real good.When I get them tinted,I will post pictures.You're gonna say that is looking real good,matches the windows..So who has pictures?

MY 91 si. i like my tails dark. used vht nightshade lens spray.

 

IMO this looks like ****... dont get mad just my opinion do your car the way u want..

That's the Chasebays CRX, I was hoping someone would post that, because the tinted tail lights on that car do look good. A light tint is nice, cleans it up no matter what color the car is.

man, tough crowd. I think the dark tails look decent on the black hatch. Not a fan of the stickers or rims, but the tails looks good!

That's right, tail lights are red for a reason. Tail lights tinted like the black Si is illegal where I'm from, it's always best to keep it looking close to factory. In other words if you can't tell just by looking where it used to be red and where it used to be amber, too dark. Another thing is that it's nice to see where you're actually backing up at night.

 

ppl always hatin on my spade decals...jeez lol. and whats wrong with black rota slips? anywho when i got this hatch the tailights were busted. i had some aftermarket tails but they were ricey as a ****. sooo i tinted them. and i agree they could be a bit lighter

 

I'm not arguing the legality of them, I just think they look cool blacked out on a black car with dark tint.

I like rims with a dish, that's all. And personally, I dont like stickers on cars... at all really.

what do you buy or how would you get it to look like chase's rex or k7-1ktrevors Sedan? I love the light tint on chase's rex I want that for my rex. Anyone know?

 

If you are capable of searching google, you would find out that there are several companies that sell taillight tint in the form of peel and stick films

you can also buy spray cans

 

It looks like it was all wet sanded and buffed out then hit with some form of aerosol. Most likely started with a very light coat and worked its way up.

 

mine is actually red stained glass tint. it looks alot better in person. the tails are all red except the reverse section.
