Default 90 Accord starts but then turns off when key is released

I turn my key to start and the car starts and runs fine. As soon as I let the key return to position 2 it shuts off. when I turn it to position 2 there are no indicator lights, (battery oil etc.) I was browsing the net and it seems like its the ignition switch. Anyone have this same problem? I know it was a recall, but will Honda still fix it if it has never been done to my car?

Recalls last forever. Honda has been giving away free ignition switches to cars that have already had the recall performed. I get a whopping .4

I dont think 1990 Accords are covered in that recall.

I hooked up my battery backwards. It spot welded my ignition and it did the same thing intermittently. One day it would not work at all, so I replaced it.
