Do people here not think to put alarms/killswitch/nrg/etc on your rides??

Thief proof.... get GPS GSM alarm, that alarm almost have no distance limit within the Car unit and you, and even they tow your car it will send you notice where it moved every 1 minute, and have backup battery last for 4 hrs. And if they drive your car you can remote switch off the car. And install it you self don't let anybody know but you, don't put the siren so the thief can work slowly not getting pissed braking your baby coz they don't know it got alarm, while you can relax calling the police, or call your buddy to follow them and bust'em, your choice.

theres not a 100% effective way to do it. yeah yeah, i know layers of security but then again if thieves want it, they'll get it.

well yeah... it doesnt matter how much security there is, if they want it they'll take it. having security works to a certain point, knowing your surroundings and the people around also counts as much
