I have this problem, cel code indicates a problem with egr system.
Egr valve appears to be working, mechanic says its a problem with egr solenoid because egr valve is not getting any vacuum, so i replaced the solenoid, reseted the ecu but the cel is still there. I already tried cleaning the valve, hoses are not clogged. What could be the problem?

It's just me, but I'd suggest swapping the ecu with a P28, P30, or equivalent... and toss all that EGR crap.
