Default Rota Formale Rim Weld Cost $90

Ok, I have a set of Rota Formale rims for a few years now. I like them because they're very hard to find and well, Rota has a reputation for light-weight rims. Light-weight rims are usually prone to cracks when they're crooked.

Do you guys think it's a bit too expensive to get 1 rim welded for $90? I just want the rim welded as cheap as I can get because when these tires go out, I'm getting rid of the rims.

I live in Fresno, California and the only certified rim repairer wants to charge me $150 to re-round and tig weld the rim. I went to an auto body and the guy wanted to charge me $90 and he's got about 40 years of repairing Porsche and Ferrari wheels.

Considering a brand new Rota isn't much more than $90, you'd be better off just buying a new one.

I was thinking of that as well. But Rota's website doesn't have the formula rims for 4x100 anymore. It's clearly labeled as Rota in the back.

Right now, I'm tight on budget and If I have to get another rim, finding a matching one is expensive.

Here's an image of how mines look like. It's actually a bit different than the formula rim in Rota's website:

It's difficult to get much tighter of a budget then a "Rota-budget" since Rota's are knock-off's already.
