Rota Formale Rim Weld Cost $90
Ok, I have a set of Rota Formale rims for a few years now. I like them because they're very hard to find and well, Rota has a reputation for light-weight rims. Light-weight rims are usually prone to cracks when they're crooked.
Do you guys think it's a bit too expensive to get 1 rim welded for $90? I just want the rim welded as cheap as I can get because when these tires go out, I'm getting rid of the rims.
I live in Fresno, California and the only certified rim repairer wants to charge me $150 to re-round and tig weld the rim. I went to an auto body and the guy wanted to charge me $90 and he's got about 40 years of repairing Porsche and Ferrari wheels.
