well today i try to start my car but for some odd reason the steering wheel and the ignition is lock. its not on theft lock, but the steering wheel turns like an inch r two cant figure out the problem. so some one give me some advice i can use to try to fix this problem.

 

The first step is to check your fuses. When you insert the key, a sensor will see this, when you turn the key, the mechanical lock will unlock. But first the sensor must be working electrically.

You either have a blown fuse, a bad sensor on the ignition switch or a bad key cylinder or a more indepth issue with the electronics. Does this vehicle have an anti theft system or immobilizer, either factory or aftermarket.
