Hayward where? Ca?
Canyons??? we dont canyon anything here!
Always on the track or nothing. I hope you arent doing the canyon driving thing!
Any racing on the street is a huge no no, and we will flame you to death.

Did you search CRX?
I found many hits on that alone.
Check the FAQ and the Search stickies, you'll find much information there on how to find the information you want.
You will have to read, read, read and read some more.

Tell us what you want to do with your car.. AutoX, RR, TA??

Theres more to building a car than just getting parts and hoping it all works.
Some items counter act another item.
If your a noooooob, and it really sounds like you are with the canyon thing..
Building a car with out knowing how to drive it first is the wrong thing to do.
90% of us started out with a bone stock car and drove it and got instruction.
Then as we progressed we started changing the car slowly.
Basically dont spend the money if you dont need to.
Misconception is if you put the "go fast and handle better" items on your car it will go faster and handle better... Wrong!
Its the driver first. Invest in you, and your skills, before you invest in the car.
A good driver can take a slow car ,and make it do some amazing things.
You can never get enough instruction.

BTW Falken Azenis are street tires IMO.. I dont see how your buddy can spank you and you say its only the tires.
Now if he had on a set of R comps, and was smoking you id say he had an advantage.

So tell us what you want to do besides your set up for a canyon?

its not ur cars fault as much as it is ur driving.. u need more seat time. other then that.

3 degrees camber in the front 1 in the rear little toe out in the front 0 in the rear. get a 23mm rear sway bar with a brace and if ur hatch has a stock front bar its good. or u can use a dx bar or what ever ex. and get some decent tires. thats it. dont post up anything on here about canyons ull get flamed and called a ricer and such things. good luck be safe have fun. dont let gay mazdas push u around !

Thanks and yea I kno canyon racing is bad 3 bike crashes last weekend on redwood rd by Hayward and yea the miata has new azenis 615k r compound tires I need sway bars and better tires my hatch can keep up but I'll get to the point of understeering and he will start to walk me exiting turn. I'm running pretty close to that camber setup gonna change inner outer tierods and set toe now I'm just gonna go further weight reduction I'm still taking out sound material on floor gonna remove airbags thanks again.

NO canyon or street anything.. You need to stop that street racing crap now.
It might be you that hits one of those bikes coming the opposite direction.

Sounds like you dont listen either.
Didnt RED_90Teg say something about its probably your driving and not so much your car?
So you have determined in your infinite wisdom that your car desperately needs the above items so you can keep up and drive wrecklessly on the roads?
Your a smart guy.

Why not do it safely on a track and learn something about really driving and controlling a car, and not cause someone or yourself to get hurt or dead!
NASA and SCCA can facilitate this for you. It takes some money but you'll be safe, you'll learn something, and meet some pretty cool people who will always help you. There are plenty of us here who will guide you on that path should you take the hint!

Or you can take the other path....Impounded car if you get caught.
Last time I checked from other monkeys who didnt listen it will probably cost you about 10K just to pay court costs and storage fees to get your car back, after 30 days or more in impound. I dont think your car is worth that much, so you might as well kiss it goodbye.
Your car once impounded will stay in a storage yard for the perscribed amount of time and not a day less.
Not time off for good behavior.
Then there is the possibility of a wrecked car, your hurt, someone else who didnt even know you gets hurt or killed.
Ohh and the if you do cause an accident and someone else gets hurt, you'll be looking at some JAIL TIME!
Not looking like such a great idea huh?

Azenis are NOT R compounds. They are street tires, and probably not even the best street tire out there for a lighter weight car anyway...

Hmm. This went disappointingly far.

Street racing is not condoned here, period. We won't help you beat your buddy in the Miata through the canyons. It's a stupid and dangerous activity, and I will add one more STRONG suggestion that you cut the **** out and find a legal event where you can have fun. There are no valid excuses for not participating in such an activity legally. None.

I'll add the further observation that you're doing a lot of stupid stuff to the car for your ridiculous self-imposed challenge. "Further weight reduction" in a street car is just plain f*cking silly. Seriously.
