Koni Yellow Rebuild Questions?
Has anyone on here rebuilt a Koni Yellow Shock/Strut? My shock is leaking fluid from the seal on the top of the shock assembly, but i do not know if there is any other internal damage.
The wheel bearing is bad on that wheel and went from what sounded like tire noise to an obvious wheel bearing while i was on a road trip so the shock was submitted to about 600 miles of intense vibration. It started leaking after sitting in place for about 3 days after the trip.
The wheel bearing will be replaced before the shock is replaced or rebuilt, but i would like to repair it myself. I have quite a large complement of tools available to me, and have rebuilt engines and transmissions but have never had to rebulit a shock assembly before.
The shock is built for 92-01 preludes (rear) and from what i can rember is a 30 series shock body from Koni.
Thanks for any help/ advise.

Thanks for the offer, i've contacted Koni and they shipped me a new shock, (charged me for it) and i'll send the damaged shock back in the same package. They are susposed to refund my money if the shock is proven to be defective. I'll let you know how this goes.
did you have to prove your receipt or this a manufacturer defect? i have koni 5 way adjustable but cannot find the receipt..
