Just traded a couple boxes of stainless nails for a NIB Avital 4200 remote start/keyless entry. I want to install this on the wifes 99 Civic LX auto trans, but have never done anything this extensive electrically in a car before.
Any tips, advice or assistance is greatly appreciated. What type of tool am I going to need? I have a 12V test light, volt meter and wire toner. Am I going to need anything else?
Thanks,
Tim

do you plan on soldering or tapping? also, do you have the install manual for this keyless / remote start system? it's fairly straight forward, www.the12volt.com should be able to help you with wiring terminations on the car side
Its pretty easy, but if you never installed anything electrical before....I might not recommend doing it yourself. Definately print out wiring diagrams and read the installation instructions carefully. And you dont always have to connect every wire.
