A buddy of mine has a 89 zc in his 88 crx si and is using a 88 clutch and flywheel. If he gets a zc tranny can he still use this clutch and fly? Thanks.

 

Only if the tranny is also an 88. The input shaft is different on the 89-91.

 

the number of splines? pilot baring size? or the shaft it self is different?

 

the number of splines is different on an 88 and the 89-91. i think (off the top of my head) the 88 is 21 versus 20 for the 89-91.

Here is the clutch and tranny info:

88 - 21 spline 190mm disk
89 - 20 spline 200mm disk
90 & 91 - 20 spline 210mm disk

They all use the same pilot bearing.
