how many square feet is a EG8 (civic sedan) floor pan? for the passenger and truck comparment

i ask because i want to sound deaden the entire floorpan maybe even 2 layers

 

If you really need to know then jack up the car and measure with a tape measure. But you have to account for all of the contours. You will need a lot. I would guess 8 dynamat door kits for one layer. Make sure you clean really good before you do it.

does anyone know of a good install thread anywhere? and i measured the floor pan is going to be about 50 square feet or so

 

i used 220 sq feet on my EG did 2 layers everywhere. car was stripped so i did firewall, Doors inside (both skins) and the door panel skin.

 

use raamat or second skin

 

The last time I redid the install in my accord I used about 190 sq ft over what was in there from other installs of the past. I did many layers on the floor pan, wheel wells as well as the roof. I would look for around 60 to 80 sq ft if you want to put down one layer. I would always put down extra since you'll already have it apart. I used raammat in the last two big installs but I would be willing to try second skin on the recommendation of some of the guys I compete against.
