Trouble could use some help.
I am new to this site so I am not 100% sure I am posting this in the right place sorry if I am not. I drive a 1996 accord lx and recently my transmission line was cut (mechanic told me when I replaced the radiator I left the line rubbing up against something and it was just a matter of time until the line got cut) no problem I fixed the line. The problem is ever since then my car has been taking a lot longer to speed up even if I put the pedal almost to the floor it takes a while. That is a new problem I have always been happy with how fast the car could accelerate before this. So now it accelerates slowly and it seems to take about 500 more rpms than it used to before it will shift a gear and then when it does it takes a while to finish shifting and it has a bit of a jerk to it all of which had not been happening before my line was cut. I didn't drive far after the line was cut I noticed the car wasn't shifting so I drove it about 100 yards to get it out of a dangerous area of the road and had it towed back to my house. I am worried that I could have a big transmission problem brewing. I have checked the transmission fluid a few times and it seems to be at the right level. I was also wondering if we could have put the wrong kind it. Would the wrong kind of fluid cause these kinds of problems? A friend of mine told me to run Sea Foam through it and the problem could be taken care of but I also heard somewhere that you don't flush hondas like that. Any help would be appreciated I love this car and want to get it back to the condition it was in if not better. (Don't know much about cars but I love to work on them sorry if there are any stupid questions)
