Default What is your startup routine?

I always let my car warm up atleast 3-4 minutes before i even move, i heard it saves the engine and is good for the drivebelts. i always see people just turn on their car and drive off, is this really that bad for your car?
what do you guys do?

For some reason or another, i have gotten in the habit of turning the key to the 'ON' position and wait for the CEL to turn off, then i start the car and drive off.

Now if its cold outside, i let the car warm up for a bit before i drive off.

Get in, put seatbelt on, turn on car, turn up music, wait for lights to turn out, put windows down, release e-brake, release clutch, depress gas, go.

Depends on drive time. Short trips, I'll warm her up. Long trips, she'll warm up on her own.

I always let the temp come up alittle bit before I go anywhere if I can. Just for my peace of mind.

first off I always back into parking spots.

get in. key in and turn while doing the folowing: clutch down. foot brake down. release e brake. put trans in first gear. hit the both the window's one touch on to go down. relase clutch and control wheel with left knee. release foot brake and acclerate. pass belt between left and right hand to secure. right hand to wheel to steady while I flip on the parking lights. grab wheel with left hand. man radio with right. and I'm off.

I've got the belt on, the windows down (or at least on their way), the lights on and am rolling before the radio can even kick on and the ABS and CEL have shut off.

I know my car.

**** the warm up.

I'm not so speedy when it's cold out.

edit: damn. forgot the parking lights.

get in switch to on let CEL turn off start car listen to shitty bosch starter i just got not too long a go make grinding noises car starts... listen to irratic idle wake up neighbours for a second when RPM is about to drop i put it into reverse or drive depending on how i'm park and drive off dreaming about the H22 being installed instead of being in the garage while warming up my brakes for the journey somewhere...

note: racing pads are not for street use don't make that mistake people! every morning i have to warm up my brakes to optimum temperature.

Get in, put on seatbelt, foot on clutch, start car (no waiting for lights or anything), reverse and drive away, or forward depending on what way I'm facing.

I started doing that early this year, and the car really does start easier, I think this is because the fuel pump pressuizes the system before startup. I usually let it idle for a couple minutes before I leave.
