Default MPFI SWAP: Round Two

For those of you who have read and helped out on previous post, heres an update:
I have the manifold and all sensors, (tps, eacv, ats) along with all the coolant lines and tubing connected. As far as I can tell, my junkyard dizzy is working. Took out #1 spark plug and wire, turned the key once to the on position got a spark that arced from the plug to the car, yet when cranked, no spark. I figured if it arced the sparkonce before I cranked it there must be juice right? Then on the the fuel injectors. Pain in my a##. I hear the fuel pump, there is pressure in the rail, but the engine I don't believe is priming. Had my sis turn the key to the II position, fuel went to rail, pressure shot the injector out of rail, but before that happened, I was for sure that I should have been able to see the fuel shoot out of the injectors. Nothing. I still think I fubared the injector wiring. Is there any way other than what I just did to see if the fuel injectors are under power and firing? Did I do the appropriate test to see if I had spark? If you guys have any input that can help me, please do. At the moment I am completely stressed out.

Wow, no one? If anyone could give advice plz. Well can anyone just answer this for me so I can see if I did it right: Cut yellow wire with black stripe at the fuel injector and wire it to the injector risistor. Hook brown wire to ? then take second yellow and black wire and wire it to injector resistor. wire blue wire to ? I have the other two injectors wired correctly at A3 and A7, and have there red/black wires hooked up at the injector resistor. I was told that they (red/blk) can be hooke up there in any order.

you shot an injector out of the rail? you playing w/ fuel presure? recheck your dizzy wiring it could be or a tad. also make sure you have your firing order correct other wise no start.

i'll think of more but im bussy as **** right now

See, that's the problem I have been having. I know the firing order of the motor. Now this might sound stupid, but is the fuel injection firing seqeunce the same as the ignition timing? I was using this as a guide to make sure I had the injectors going to the right wires. Are the wire colors going from the distributor side to the timing belt , yellow, blue, red, brown? Then I made the mistake to remove the power pins and move them around on the injector side of the harness at the driver side connector. I need to see where the wires originally go, then maybe I can get power to the injectors. I check for spark by cranking the motor with one sparkplug removed and in the wire cap and only saw a spark when i turned the key once to power the accessories.

That sucks bro, I hope you get it fixed... I too know the horror of the MPFI swap.

Thanks. For some odd reason that made me feel better I hope I figure it out soon.

go over all the wring again w/ the injectors. 2 stock wires are used other 2 are ran straight off the ecu. 1 of each jectors wire heads to resistor box. the 2 stock yellow w/ black wires from the origional injectors get connected together then sent to the yellow/black wire on the resistor box. tps outside wire wires are inverted, i think the evac is extended air temp sensor stock works. also make sure the blue w/ green and blue w/ yellow wires on the dizzy are hooked up properlyi dont remember pin#s at all

I think I need to go to the junkyard again and pull a harness there to see what wires I moved.

I do, but Will this show me where the wires go on the plug that's on the drivers side of the compartment? So let me get this striaght, Cut the power wires were they meets the #1 and 2 injectors on the stock harness and connect them straight to the injector resistor power wire, leaving only one wire to be connected to the injectors?

So there will only be one wire to each fuel injector?

meaning that i will have 2 injectors that have two wires and two wires (original injectors) that have only one wire?

wow, this thread is getting confusing!!!

All 4 injectors will have a red w/ black wire going to the Injector resistor box.
Injector #1 (brown wire) will be connected to the old primary injector wire (yellow)
Injector #2 (red wire) will go to pin A3 of the ECU
Injector #3 (blue wire) will be connected to the old secondary Injector wire (red)
Injector #4 (yellow wire) will be connected to pin A7 of the ECU

Injector #1 is the Injector closest to the distributor, then #2, then #3, then #4 is the farthest away (timing belt side)

I hope this clears some things up

That finally made some sense. I moved some wires around so ill have to pick up an old harness to see what I did wrong. Is it rare for an injector risistor to go bad?

I think I might have mixed up the wires on the distributor. need to check.

Ok, here's what I just did. I pulled out one of the spark plugs from the engine and put it in the spark plug end. Then I cranked over the motor. No spark of any kind. I don't understand what I did wrong. This morning I transfered the coil and ignitor form my old dizzy and made sure the inside of the PM6 dizzy was clean. Can anyone answer these questions?
1. Should I be able to see a spark with this method?
2. If not, then what method should I use?
3. Fuel pressure in lines, but can't confirm injector firing. How do I confirm this?
4. I found a extra wire that had been cut near the ECU. I dont know where it goes to. All the other wires are accounted for. The wire is White.

I dont think so. But I think your right about starting over. This **** has gotten far more complicated than intended. Im on my way to the junkyard to see how the cars are wired up there.

Alright, it's not a power wire, as far as I can tell. Pulled everything out, yet this cut white wire with red line underneath the dash remains. Of course ther is A3 and A7, But they are supposed to be cut and tapered off. But this one wire remains. I keep thinking that this could be the cause of all my problems.
