Default CYLINDER HEAD compatibility

I have a b16 head that has some scouring. Some one must of neglected the tightening process. or was just bad. I have a b16 head with a performance valve train. I want a brand new head. Nothing ever installed. I came across a b18 GSR head made by RHS. I was wondering if this would bolt on my b16 block. I noticed the water outlet jacket was diffrent. B16 is on rear near distribuitor. when gsr is up front by Vtec press. Sol. Can this work?
I have dumped lots of money into this head now i dont even want to use it.

Will it work? Are there dowels that dont line up.

the B16 and GSR heads can be swapped....the coolant pipe like you said is in a different location so you would need to change the upper radiator hose. everything else should fit the same but you would need a different intake manifold as the bolt pattern is diffrent.

you can find NEW B16 head castings. they are non honda OEM heads though...made by aftermarket company's...there are some on ebay. this one would be the better one of them all: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-H...Q5fAccessories

good luck

Hey your info is right on. I am now aware of the Dual Stage GSR intake manifold setup. Did not take that into consideration. A b16 Chamber would not work. It would be pointless to try and adapt. What would a simple fix for that be? would i still be able to run what i have or is there rewireing involved with the diffrent manifold? I like the fact that this RHS **** is looking bulky, Setup, High performance. I have never heard of them besided looking up and a search. I dont think they even make what is offered on ebay its around 1900 and some performance head. There are 2 i was opting for the older cheaper one but the point is its brand new. I just got new cams and all this other happy horseshit and i am looking for a high performance head.

The aftermarket head looks like it is missing the camshaft holder plate whats with that?

you need to find a B16 head and swap all the lifters and valves/springs over. that's the easiest way of fixing your problem without having to buy a new intake manifold.

you can use a GSR style head. you would have to find a intake manifold that will fit. you don't really have to run the dual stage manifold. you can use a skunk2, blox, AEBS etc.. single stage manifold but it has to have the mounting flange for the GSR head.

i would not pay 1900 for a new head from anyone....that is just crazy.

the DHPS head does come with spray bars...it's just not shown in the pictures. you can email them directly just to make sure. it looks like a decent head that flows slightly better than stock so it's not bad for the price.
