Hey guys. I am able to get a good deal on a fully built 98 Prelude Type SH swap. It is VERY well taken care of. My question is....how easily will it fit in my 4WS Lude??
Please, if ANYONE can point me in the right direction...please do so..I am VERY serious about this swap.

i don't think anyone has done a fully functional ATTS swap into a 4th gen, let alone a 4th gen with 4WS. the engine will be easy tho. if you make it work you will have one bad *** lude using stock parts. but its gonna be difficult wih that transmission.

 

Hey Papa Smurf...I was wondering if you know why it will be difficult with the ATTS transmission?? I thought that it would actually be feasible because I thought that the 4WS ECU monitors the same speed and steering data as the ATTS system. I thought that maybe you could piggy back the ECUs.
If anyone else has any input..please let me know. I think my car would be BAD *** with ATTS AND 4WS!!

 

I don't think the ECU will work, cause thats a OBDI ecu trying to work with an OBDII motor, but then again, you may have to change out the wire harness on the motor....If you need an SH ECU, I have one from my motor swap

 

well first of on a 4ws 4th gen the 4ws functions are controlled by the 4ws module behind the rear seats on a 5th gen type SH car the atts function is controlled by the ECU, which regretable is obd2 and the 4th gens (excluding the 96) were all obd1. also i don't think anyone ever made any piggy back systems that controlled the atts of 4ws, soooo your gonna need to go obd2, which means unless your car is a 96 your gonna need to swap a few 96 wiring pieces into your car (for the ecu) and the hard part i was talking about would come from the actual wiring of the speed/yaw/traction sensors that the atts system uses, there are a lot of them and they are gonna be a real bitch to wire up correctly. good luck, i wish you well.
