P0780 in 2002 Honda Accord SE
Hi
My 2002 Honda Accord, having 74K, is displaying P0780.
Looks Like it is not picking up the 2nd gear.
When I contacted the Honda Dealer, they suggested, I get the vehicle diagnosed by them . I got it checked from them, but it did not gave me any new information for the $110 I had spent for Diagnostic check. They suggested to replace the Shift Solenoids ($700). If the problem is still not resolved, replace the Transmission ($3000). This is same thing that you found on the owner's manual. I had a feeling that I was xxxxed up by the dealer. I checked a couple of threads on line, and they have advised to flush out the transmission liquid, by changing the liquid very often.
What is the best course of action to be followed.
