I got a 93 Civic si with a Gsr Swap, Intake , Headers , Full Exhaust . The Ecu is chipped and has launch control set at 6500. What would be my best way to get this thing outta the hole ? Im using 99 Civic Si Wheels With Nexxan Tires. . Thanks. Just trying to get some opinions
I'd venture to say 6500 is WAYYYY too high for those street tires. I liked to launch around 4k rpms and then feather the throttle until 2nd gear, in my two NA hatches. Play with the tire pressure, probably between 13-20 psi. Don't do long burnouts. Also, if you have a lot of camber, I wouldn't even waste my time trying to run on street tires.

I also have a chipped ECU with 6500 RPM launch control. It works great on my 22X8X13 slicks but like stated above a low RPM launch with some clutch slip will be your best bet on street tires.
