Default timing belt question

So my timing belt broke and fortunately it didn't hurt anything, anyways my buddy gave me a timing belt that had some miles on it and I set it all up but it seems that when the teeth on the cams meet the crank reads like maybe 2 degrees off and I think its affecting my idle but I can't get it any closer without skiping over the tdc mark. Could this be due to an older timing belt being stretched or is it because I have a gsr lower timing cover on my b16a? Any input is appreciated, thanks
