Icon2 Need clarification regarding GruppeM intake.

I'm doing a little bit of research for my brother. He is looking to get a new intake after his was destroyed in a recent car accident. He wants to get a GruppeM intake, however from what I've read is that the GruppeM intake will not fit our USDM EP3. These were all from old threads back from 2003, so I don't know if there is a newer version that fits our USDM EP3. My brother found a company and they say that it will fit the USDM EP3. I just wanted to clarify if the GruppeM intake will fit or not before he spends $900+ on something that doesn't fit. Thanks for any help!

Well im not too sure, but im gonna say no. I think someone would have already done it in the states if it was possible. If i remember correctly, it doesnt fit due to right hand drive or something. $900 dollars is a lot to spend on a maybe

the ARC super induction box is a nice piece as well. The mugen intake is gangsta though so that would be my suggestion as well.

Will the Mugen one fit the USDM EP3 without any modification?

Honestly, if your brother has the funds for a Mugen, is he doing it only for looks plus "some" performance? The reason i say is why not get an Injen CAI with velocity stack? Better gains everywhere, plus you dont have to worry about heatsoak with the other intakes such as ARC and Mugen.
