I'm helping for 1 of my friend to get cruise control working...

His car is 97 del sol si with 94 gsr motor

Can you use cruise control box from 92-95 honda civic engine bay? will it work on del sol?

I don't see why not ,my 93 SI Del Sol has factory cruise control

The auto/SI have it, maybe look for one in a junkyard or EBAY

Funny you mentioned this I just got back yesterday and used cruise control 80% of the time on I-95

The cruise set is on the steering wheel and the cruise toggle on/off is right by the toggle for the auxiliary lights

The 93's were called "civic" del sol so it'll probably fit right in

well looks like ex owner leave everything in but only took the cruise actuator out only so we went to junkyard to get the cruise actuator then hook it up. we went for test drive to see if it works but it didnt work. green light on switch came on but not on the cluster?

edit-- he dont have to press the clutch when to start the car.. will that cause it wont work?

I guess it's time to troubleshoot. Get your Helms manual out.

well you know regular "clutch is depressed" switch. i think ex owner have do something with it so you can start the car without press the clutch down. you think it will cause cruise wont work?

whats helms manual? buy from store or what?

Possibly. Manuals .. check here. Surprised you got this far without. Check the Civic USDM 92-95 ... cruise will operate exactly the same as the del Sol.
