-help- electrical problem
ok so a while back i noticed that my headlights dimmed everytime i lowered my windows opened my sun roof or even made full turns, a couple weeks later same thing continued but when i made full turns the car would turn off and back on by itself, now i from one day to another my headlights stopped working and the car is back to normal (besides not having headlights) does anyone know what the problem might be??
What year is your Civic? 2002-3? Are the high beams working fine but the low beams aren't working at all?

By the way, it's normal for the headlamps to dim slightly when using other electrical accessories at idle (i.e. power windows/roof, electric power steering, etc.).
You may want to remove the steering column covers and check the wiring harness and connector for the headlamp switch.
Honda had a safety recall on the headlamp swich for all 2001 and some 2002 model year Civics. A problem with the switch causes the red/white wire and its terminal to overheat and burn or melt the harness connector and the socket/pins on the switch. This causes the low beams to stop working, while the high beams continue to function.
If you find that this is your problem, Honda may repair your car free of charge if your '02 EP3's serial number is between 300001 and 300222. If your car isn't eligible for repairs under the recall, Honda's service bulletin (#04-015) advises to replace the headlamp switch and the connector and to splice a new terminal onto the red/white wire. They have a parts kit (part no. 35012-S5A-307) that includes the switch, connector, and wire. This kit is actually cheaper than buying the headlamp switch alone.
