Drag Racing Suspension..
I have a few questions regarding rear suspension setups for drag racing.. I am not making huge power, nor am I running super fast track times.. But I have been trying to research drag racing setups without much luck so far. I watched a few videos of my car running the quarter and see it definately needs a better suspension setup for the track. I was thinking of making a solid rear suspension for race weekends so the car doesn't squat so much when launching. I have all the pieces to even make it adjustable. Just wondering if anybody is running solid rear suspension or not? And also interested in other quality suspension setups.. If anybody has any input, fire away. I would love to hear as many pros and cons as I can.. My car is a 96 Integra LS with a JRSC GSR making about 225whp and running high 12s on 22 inch slicks in Eastern Canada if that matters at all..
Thanks in advance!

I run pic performance coilovers 8k front 18k rear. I havent tracked the car yet but I have done a few launches and it takes off hard. If your trying to get something that works and isn't too expensive you could go with the omni drag kit. There has been plenty of people that have had success with it and its cheap. Also look into some stiff mounts and a traction bar and that should help out a lot.
You still need a suspension(as opposed to solid rear)in drag racing.I used Skunk2 Pro's on all corners.spring rates will be determined based on the total weight and weight bias of your car.
im running a drag coilover setup, 12k front 18k rear. ive been making adjustments to the preload on the rear springs with some success, cutting almost .2 off my 60ft times

i run the skunk2 drag coilover kit which is an inexpensive option, but it leaves a lot to be desired in the ride quality department.
Progress suspension has a deal going on right now in the sponsor section for there base coil over kit. they sell it with a "drag" spring option. The rates aren't as stiff as some dedicated drag setups, but they are stiff enough i believe to help you out at the strip and not kill the kidneys day to day. Plus they are priced really well.

I'm not worried about ride quality as I plan to just swap the entire rear struts in and out. I will run my K-Sport coilovers for daily driving than throw in the rear struts in for race weekends. I only have two race weekends left here on the East Coast, so I was hoping to pick up something relatively cheap to run and get my 60 foots down.. I have traction bars and have picked up Hasport Race mounts since I ran my 12.93..
Any other suggestions? I am really looking into the Skunk2 Drag Launch Coilover kit. Part #: 517-05-0730
Would others suggest something else instead?

I am looking into options with PIC. I would like to pick up a nice set of coilovers for daily driving than swap out the rears for drag events...

omni sells just their rear drag struts w 18k springs, that would probably be your best bet if you just want to swap out entire rear strut asemblies
That is way too much work. I run 12k fronts with 18k rears on adjustable function and form shocks on the car daily all summer. yeah it is bumpy sometimes but you have to deal with it to have a good set up for the track.
I wouldn't go with a solid rear shock, it is illegal as far as drag events are concerned and you need some flex back there in order for the car to hook...
