I'm looking for insight on what I should do next for my crx racecar. It is fully caged with suspension and a b18c motor with minor bolt ons. It is used for autox and trackdays. I just bought a type r trans brand new from Honda for about 2000 bucks. Everything runs great but I am ready for somethig new. I was going to supercharge it but there are no more new jrsc available that I have found. I would prefer not to buy used. So here is my question. Should I build the motor on the b18 with a 12.5:1 comp ratio, or do a k swap. My guess is after all said and done the kswap will be 10 grand, and a built motor and head for a b18 maybe 5-6. I would love a kswap but I just bought a brand new type r trans and would hate to waste it. Any ideas guys???
personally, i think money better spent on the type r. i mean don't get me wrong a k series in a 4th gen is always a sight too see. but in reality the power to money ratio just isn't there. Theres nothing power wise that you can achieve with a k that you couldn't with your c5. and the extra money you save, put into your motor and smash on the guy who paid an extra 3k for a stock k series swap lol. just my 2 cents
