*sigh* Cutting my floorboard for the H23 tranny cables, anyone have instructions?
So the idiot who installed the H23 in my sol did a SHITTY *** job, and well I like my **** to be nice so I know I only get one shot at this so help me out here. I have googled, and searched here on HT and have not found ANY pics of it done, or being done, nor have I found any instructions. Any help at all will be appreciated. I will not be cutting until next week, but if I can do it sooner I would like to. I was thinking of using an angle grinder, is there a better option?
This was in the FAQ thread:

Maybe make a template of the shifter on cardboard, and use it as a guide along with the pics from that thread.
Someone on here had some really good pics, but I've been searching for over a year for the thread again, but have had no luck.
Edit - Holy crap, I just found the thread. Unbelievable. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/my-h22-swap-start-finish-over-80-photos-every-step-2101842/

now that h2b conversions are around, i would never bother with an h of series tranny, why? You could save so much time and trouble...no cutting!
A plasma Cutter is going to be your best bet very precise. You don't want to cut more than you have to. I personaly wouldn't cut anything H transmissions are notoriously pieces of junk. H to b is a much better idea, but do you. Good luck

dont sweat it, heres a pic i found. just make sure u dont cut out far enough so that u cant bolt the holes onto your flooring. u can place it anywhere you want tho. trust its worked for me every time. make a template out of cardboard like civicspoon said, and go for it. no biggie.

Is 4 possible? I want it to be as perfect as possible, I am hoping to make this into a good track car and don't want to have to quit early due to a damn bolt, lol.
actually in this cutout all four bolts grab. the other two are just about an inch behind the two nuts for the shift linkage.
could you use one of these instead of doing the cutting? its for a K swap but since the H series uses cables too maybe it will work

Got it cut today, did a pretty good job I think :D I cut, drilled 3 holes, primed and painted the whole mess and left it up to sit for the night. I'll bolt it all up in the morning and then the interior can start going back in!!!!!!!!
