Alright so it worked fine before in my last car. Swapped the dash over to my new car and hooked everything up... Now the slider adjuster for temperature wont go all the way on heat. It goes over to heat, but the slider isnt all the way over. WTF is wrong? I look under the dash the cable looks fine and all and I can force it over but it will push back to being maybe a half inch from all the way over. IDK it bothers me. So WTF is up?

hmm, a dash swap? hard to really say if something is bent or off, but, generally speaking there is a cable that goes to the supply line for the heater core. it controls an inline valve. that valve, or the mechanism, either inside or outside, might be in need of maintenance or replacement. i can't specifically remember on my old '97, but i do recall doing something to help that transition become MUCH smoother. but like i said your car might be a different case since you have the dash swap variable.

 

I think I'm going to try taking the cable off and seeing if the slider will go all the way, then see if the valve thing will go all the way each way.
