Default Question regarding H22A4 block..

Ive been trying to find a 100% answer to this question, but can't seem to. Are these FRM cylinder liners supposed to have a crosshatch to them or be polished? The Helm shows a crosshatch, but I read the cylinders are "polished" when finished.

I have a block with 220k miles on it. Compression in #3 cylinder is very low. I have 80% leakage past the rings. When I took the block apart, there is a rather large lip at the top 1/4" of the bore. More then enough to catch the fingernail... were talking pretty large lip. The helm specifically shows to measure the cylinder bore BELOW this area. So the lip is not of concern?

Sorry for the questions, I am not familiar with there FRM blocks.

Should be shiny smooth, no hatch at all. 1/4" is getting close, but might be within the squish area where the piston doesn't actually travel.
