Default The Del Sol Build That Seems To Never End!!!!!

I always wanted to build a decently fast Honda. I always fooled around with stock motors and really never had anything that pleased me yet this far. So once I got a couple dollars in front of me and a few people backing me this is what I came up with:

The motor: JDM B18C (GSR)
The car: '95 Honda Del Sol
The parts:

• Eagle Rods
• JE 81.5mm Pistons
• ACL Bearings (Standard mains/Race rods)
• Endyn Block Posts
• Endyn Catch Can
• Cosmetic 81.5mm Head Gasket
• NR1 Crank Pulley
• ARP Head Studs
• Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold
• Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
• Honda Prelude Intake Manifold Studs
• Precision 1200cc Injectors
• Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
• Blox Fuel Pressure Regulator
• B&M Fuel Pressure Gauge
• 12inch "Slimline" Radiator Fan
• Godspeed Dual Core Radiator
• Skunk2 Short Throw Shifter
• Skunk2 Shift ****
• Password JDM Shifter Bushings
• Skunk2 Pro-S Coilovers
• Blox Camber Kits Front and Rear
• Blox Rear Lower Control Arms (Brand new)
• Sunpro Gauges (Boost, Vacuum, Oil Pressure, volts)
• LC1 Wide Band With DB Gauge
• Electronical Boost Solenoid
• Nitrous Express Kit (for spraying the intercooler)
• Blox Oil Filter Adaptor
• Blox Vacuum Manifold
• Moroso Baffled Oil Pan
• Moroso Breather (for catch can)
• Skunk2 Cam Seal
• Type-R Throttle Cable
• Type-R Throttle Bracket
• 3inch Exhaust (straight pipe)
• ACT Xtreme Clutch Kit (AI4-XTG6)
• Fidanza Flywheel
• Skunk2 Titanium Retainers
• Skunk2 Dual Valve Springs (Tuner series)

The Turbo Set-up:

o AFI ram Horn turbo manifold

o Garrett GT35R turbocharger

o Tial mv-r wastegate (44mm)

o PeakBoost(Garrett core)24x6x3.5 Intercooler (2.5" inlet and outlet)(Bead rolled)

o Tial 50mm blow off valve

o (Aluminum)MANDREL BENT MIRROR POLISHED complete 3 piece 2.5" charge piping with bead rolled ends to prevent piping blow offs

o 3inch Stainless downpipe with stainless flex section

o Wastegate dumptube

o Stainless oil feed (-3) and oil drain (-10) lines

o Weldless 100% leak free oil drain line

o Strong T-Bolt hose clamps

On this set-up the car made 470whp and 315tq. I maxed out the air flow of the inner cooler and the intake manifold with this set-up. I do plan on more power to come as soon as I can come up with the money to do so....

I havent had a problem with it yet and have been using it for about 7 months or so. I am getting ready to do some other work to the car and I might just put a new one on.

Get rid of that gasket it's commonly those cheap ones you find included on ebay chinese sellers headers.

There is always someone who somehow never happens to have a problem....

Middle is Honda header gasket save yourself the headache never use one of those again.

While waiting on the motor to get back from the machine shop I mounted up my inner cooler. I will start posting up the rest of the pictures from my build tomorrow. Please let me know what you think this far.

I also use various company that make copper gaskets they conform to surfaces verywell, important when you're turbocharging since more heat is generated.

SCE makes a good one it's embossed with a lip around the port, lasted 3 years cleaned it off bolted it back up.

SCE site.

Cheapest place I know.
