New Hondata Version s200
Was just looking at Hondata's site and they have a new unit out to replace the 2/3/4b ECU's. Looks to be cheaper and just as nice. And you can choose exactly what you want. http://www.hondata.com/s200.html
Nice try. The unlock key is a 20 digit number, so at the maximum rate of input it will take on average 1,585,489,599,188 years to guess the unlock code. This is about the lifetime of the universe so you'd better get started soon. However, an excessive number of incorrect codes will stop the interface box from accepting any more codes, so you'll only be able to guess about 0.0000041% of the available codes.
OKay so if there not crackable.....what about copying someone else's code....
I.E. 2 Hondata users pitch in to buy the upgrade code together?
1 code 2 ECU's?

if it is a twenty digit number, there can only be 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 possible answers if the possible entries are 0-9 and there are no other variables to take under account, ex being, not using 0 as the first digit, etc.
So, what's the code?

FREE UPGRADE SWEET!!!
Man I'm gonna start updating some stuff to get that babt running like a monster...Naw just kidding. I would like to change a few things around like the shift light and be able to do my own diagnostic work.

Nice idea. I had wondered how you guys were going to counteract the random attempts to circumvent the access codes. However, there is still potentially a problem with >1 person using the same access code "subscription". Hopefully people will be honest and trustworthy and not take advantage of this amazing product (or maybe Doug built in the 'this ECU will self destruct in 5 seconds'.....or how about it initiates ANTI-VTEC!!
).
Props to Doug et al at Hondata. Now I just have to upgrade again

We'd look fairly silly if the same code worked on two different units. Seriously, we came up with the idea of the unlock code because I thought it would be an easier and more reliable way for the owner to upgrade. Plus the dealer can datalog from any unit to make installation and tuning easier.

i was just taking a stab in the dark at who you were. its a clean car, good work. whats under the hood? if scott built it im sure its not slow hehe.
Hondata has a serious design flaw, my interface cable from ecu to hondata crapped out. The wiring is so fragile, ground has broken off on its own and the power has to be wiggled to make it work. My box is bolted down and the wire does not tug at all, the harness simpliy broke off on its own. It really sux when your driving on the highway and you get that sudden power cut and the box starts blinking. I had to pull over many times to wiggle the wire back to working order.
Hondata has been great with helping me out thus far but my new wire was ordered over a week ago and i still haven't recieved a replacement.

I've been running my Hondata box for 2 years with no reliability problems with the wires or any other component. Good product IMO!
Glad to see they've found a way to make the product easily upgradeable and cheaper to start with. Nice work Hondata!

Can you use the Hondata system with a D16Y7?
The app guide on the hondata site didnt list that I could.
Could I swap in a different ECU to use the hondata?
