Door lock problems

I have after market doorlock actuators installed in my 92 honda civic si. The door locks were working fine, locking/unlocking when arming/disarming the alarm.
Now the doors suddenly stopped unlocking with the alarm but only locks when arming (no locking on disarming). On top of that, my friend broke the interior lock (the plastic lock tab). Now I have to unlock the passenger side door with the key, and its difficult to turn too.
It took me a while to figure out what happened. The ground came off. Put the ground back on and it unlocks with the alarm. But the problem now is that the driverside is the only one that locks and unlocks.
What could it be that makes the passenger side not work? could it be the wires from the acutators to the brain of the alarm? where would the actuator wires connect to? the Alarm brain?
Do I take some sort of multimeter and tap into the door actuator wires to see if its getting any power? what do I set the multimeter too? Im a noob, sorry. hahahhahha HELP, ITS GIVING ME A HEAD ACHE. hahhahaha.

It only takes 2 relays to work actuators. I would check the connections to the other door. It should be wired parellel to the other door.
i would agree, sounds like a problem with one or both of the wires going to the passenger door. i'm also ruling out the actuator coming off the lock rod in the door because you said the key turn is difficult, but try locking and unlocking and listening for the actuator to fire in the door. if you hear it in the pass door then the rod is off, if you don't hear it, start tracing wires from the door to the relays (or relay box...depending)

i took the door off and inspected the actuator. The I checked the rods and they seemed fine but i tried pushing the actuator back and forth and it wouldnt budge for ****. Could be it the actuator gone bad? i checked the relays and switched them to see if the other side would work it didnt. Im guess it actually is the actuator. thanks guys
WOW!! i have a 92 civic eg and it has same kinda problem with the doors locking as soon as my car is switched off.. it doent make it much easier since the driver side interior lock opener has come unattached from the mechanism. So, every time i turn my car off i have to then click the button on my keys to get out or lean across and slide the passenger door unlocked. So if anyone knows about this kinda electrics i would love to know how to fix this..
thanx

Well, if your door panel is still off, take your meter and put it on the vdc setting, test the wires going to the actuator, and see if you get 12v+ on either wire while locking or unlocking. If you do... bad actuator. If you don't, we need to check your wiring...
