Default 8k/10k, 8k/6k 10k/8k

im looking for coilovers for my teg and cant figure out what i want. Car is purely street driven and i drag race, no autox or any of that. I always thought you wanted it stiffer in the rear than front but on PICs site i see its the opposite. i have 75a bushings and im use to vibrations and decent rides. looking for some advice. thanks

How is it purely street driven if it is also used at the strip?

You want a stiff rear to help prevent launch squat. You want a soft rear for street comfort. Pick your rates based off of the stiffest rear rate you can handle on a daily basis, if you want the best strip performance.

i drive it on the street, and i do some light to lights but i post drag race cuz well thats what it is. so a 8k/10k for launching would help versus a 10k 8k i take it?

A good ride is different to different people. My wife does not want to ride in the car with 8k on the back and 10k front. Tire size/profile and bushings also contribute to feel. If your passengers are not car guys, they will not like much over 6k in the rear, if that. You usually cannot get good street ride and track or drag suspension.

most people i ride with are car guys and my girl, otherwise i dont care bout the rest. so 8k rear 10 front be a good setup for drag then?

8K f and 10K r or reverse. Your girl will like the 8K in the rear better than the 10k. Tire profile can really help. I have 10K f and 8K r for HPDE and found that 16" wheels are a lot better than 17" for the road. 15's would be better yet. Remember, a daily driver is daily, and track and drag occasionally. Good news is that you can choose. Potentially, you could get springs that could go either, depending on length. I had 8k f and 6 k r and put the 8k in the rear and got new 10k for the front. Did not look to see if I could get a 10k to go either. I have coilovers to make up the height difference.
