i put this in this section because its about a prelude engine...not a del sol..
anyways...need some help
first off, when my friend got the car it was fine...just an exhaust leak.... then first third and fifth gear no longer worked...then it got stuck in reverse..we found out the shift cables were stretched so we got new ones and applied them
now only third works and as a bonus...its smoking white smoke out of every whole..
please help before he buys a new engine that could be a waste of money

White smoke usually means bad head gasket, as for the cables, you sure you got them installed right and not mixed up somehow?

 

yea we put them in right..
