Car wont start, possibly clutch?
Ok so i bought my 96 civic as is with the transmission swapped (from auto to manual), its never given me a problem until now, about a month or so ago i went to start my car with my foot pressed all the way on the clutch and nothing happend, after a few tries i got the car to start.
Now the same thing has happend but i cant start the car period, i tried jump starting the car, nothing has worked, someone mentioned to me it could be the wiring for the clutch that has gotten loose, suggestions? thanks

it would only be the switch telling the ecu that the clutch has been depressed. Its located on the clutch pedal. If that checks out you will need to trouble shoot to make sure its not ignition, fuel or spark.
does the car turn over?
might be a fuel relay?
i would suggest trying the above, any if that doesnt help... step by step...
check coils
check spark plugs
check fuel relays
starter(if the engine isnt turning, start here) maybe even hookup a starter button

if the clutch sensor checks out. Start backward. See if you are getting spark at the plug if not check the wire, then the dist cap, then the rotor, then the coil, then the ignitor then the wiring harness etc untill you find the issue. If you have spark check fuel by turning the key to II or ACC and see if you can hear the fuel pump. If you do check to make sure you have pressure at the rail, if you do then check the injectors for power etc. trouble shooting is fun.
first of all, is the car cranking at all. if not, go down to your clutch pedal and press on the clutch pedal switch and then start your car, if still no crank, check for power going into the switch(check at the starter relay). if the car cranks but doesn't start, then you can check for fuel and spark.also remember to check your fuses first if no crank.
im having sort of the same problem with my car too...
i was driving it to pick up my little sis at her school and when i got there i turned it off.. she got in the car, i tried turning it back on and nothing not even a crank....thought it was the starter.. i pushed started it as soon as i couldnt turn it on with regularly...
got home...next day replaced the starter and still same problem..if i turn the key to ignition all i hear is the fuel pump.. but after that nothing...battery is good...its a 93 civic coupe with B20B with P75..been running like that for almost a year and never a problem...please help this is my only transportation....
