Will an EM1 wing fit on 96-98 EK sedan?
Btw, there was supposedly another tall wing available for sedans in other parts of the world. I've always been told it's not an EM1 wing though. Never really looked much into it.
Here are some tall spoilers on '96-'00 Civic sedans anyway though. I *believe* all these are the above mentioned OEM tall sedan spoiler. Notice how square the corners are.

This one photo seems weird though. Look at the variety of spoilers in the pic and compare this close up one (on the Vi-RS) with the ones in the background. The one on the white Vi-RS looks more like a '99-'00 coupe spoiler.

But I've always been a big fan of the OE US '96-'98 Civic sedan spoiler. Mmm....

I'd try to get one of those. Either the US '96-'98 or the other one (SiR/Vi-RS/etc?).
For comparison, here is a '99-'00 coupe spoiler. It appears to lean in more and not have the same super upright appearance of the one on the sedans.

Thanks NOFS for such a comprehensive reply!
Yes, that more upright 'high-rise' wing was known as the EK4 or EK3 wing in the Australia/Asian region, although I'm not sure if it had a different name in the US.
My Civic is exactly like the white one (except with the Honda Access rear under spoiler) and currently has a Mugen Ferio wing (I don't want to park it on the street with this wing lol), but I just think this 'EK4/EK3' wing is just too high and might look a bit silly.
So that's kinda why I was thinking of the EM1 wing.
Here's a photoshop (I'm not the best at this lol!) of what the EM1 wing could look like on my sedan - BUT I still don't know 100% if it will fit however!
What do you think?

Thanks guys - i agree the first one looks absolutely gorgeous that tall spoiler definitely suits the 99-00 Vi-RS.
I'll have a think - I might even get something like the below wing on the 99-00 model because I don't want to draw too much attention to the car when it's on the street or carpark - I guess I can always interchange to the Mugen on weekends

Ew, no offense but that wing does not follow your cars curves at all. Ew.
Personally, I own a 2000 EJ8 coupe and went to the lower 96-98 Spoiler. You can see it in my pic obviously. Love it. I can actually use my rear view and it's nice and low pro. I don't need a huge, giant wing.

consider your perspective. someone in another country might very well be saying the same about our cars..
i've read first hand individuals who wanted to swap their ukdm/audm/edm parts for stock usdm parts. it's cool to them cause it's different from the norm. same goes for us

Most Civic trims in other countries are about the same caliber as the ones we get in the US.
Remember a lot of the cars seen online are basically the same as our EM1, only in different body styles and with different, but comparable, equipment (like the interior fabric and stickers).
Besides the black EM1 I posted, every car in this thread has something that didn't come factory.
apalmucci, I think your car would come together better if you either lowered it a bit more or got slightly larger wheels/tires.

yep, I can't tell you guys how many parts I've had to get from the US for my car LOL!
You guys are SO lucky over there and parts aren't 'that' expensive compared to here + it costs a fortune to get parts shipped from the US to OZ! But yep, it's mainly the trim interior which differs, engines to some extent and mostly the models Australia can get.
We never received the EK9, or even the more recent Mugen Si Civics due to exchange rate (making it way too expensive to import so no one would buy one anyway)
...and we didn't have the best fuel back then - but infrastructure in Oz is much better now - pretty much 98 octane (eg Shell V Power) everywhere you go now-a-days...
And apparently we are not allowed to import the FD2R for some stupid reason... but Ferrari's are fine... SERIOUSLY give me a break honestly...
ANYWAY, I'm starting to agree that neither the high rise EK4 or EM1 wing suits my car. I'm thinking the Vti-R wing might be the way to go (just for weekdays anyway) - here's a pic of one I found on the net on 96-98 pre facelift:
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

And yes, car needs to be lowered LOL - haven't got that far yet hopefully soon though. And you guys in the US have some cRaZy wheel offsets!!! Blimee!

That spoiler looks to be the same as the US '99-'00 sedan spoiler. Similar to the '96-'98 coupe spoiler, but a tad taller and pointier!
And yeah, my fellow American Honda enthusiasts often forget how good they have it with these cars. At least ours didn't come with anything less than a 1.5L and even '96-'00 were only 1.6L engines. We got the uncommon coupe model and hatches too (many countries only sell sedans, others sell only sedans and hatches). Our EM1 gets a moonroof and is the only EM1 without ABS. Oh, and let's not forget we got (what I consider to be one of the coolest trims ever) the GX sedan (EN1) from '98-'00. We were the only country in the world to get that model or anything similar!

Yep LOL :-) It's pretty much identical to US one and you got it spot on: a little taller and bit sharper lines, which is why I like it more than the 96-98.
This is the 99-00 Vti-R model in AUS (I think it's like ur Vi-RS model - engine might not be as powerful though...):
Do you think it suits my model ok (above beige photo)?

The Vi-RS trim is a 1998-2000 (they all look like our '99-'00 Civics) Civic sedan. They were never available as a '92-'95 Civic.
Since the sedan is the most commonly sold body style (as in more countries sold the sedan models than any other body style) then it makes sense they'd have more trims.
But there's still loads out there as far as coupes and hatches too. You just don't hear as much about it. People think hatches are CX (US), DX (US), Type R/EK9 (everywhere but the US) and SiR/EK4 (everywhere but the US). All that's wrong though, of course. People assume the nice trims are available everywhere but the US.
