Default Airmass header question.

Does anybody have any review about this header?
I saw this in ebay.. and was wandering which is the right header for me, part#80528 or #80524? Any help is appreciated. My car is an eg6, b16a2 engine.
I saw a forum saying tat is for d15,,
I just bought a Hytech replica and the clearance is awful for street use, so now im looking for a header,

Thanks

Airmass has been around for a while, making entry-level priced headers, better than most cheap headers on eBay. I might have a dyno test for one in a book I have, I'll check later, g2g to class.

Airmass is a division of Holley, the company that makes expensive carburators. They're not bad, better than no name ones...

I had one for my d16, but the fitment was not perfect, the good thing was that it had a C.A.R.B stamp.

I had one on a D15B and it fit fine. Pain in the butt to put together in the engine bay since it was pretty much like the stock manifold, but didn't hit anything.

neither of the part#'s you listed will fit, they are both for d-series. the part# for your b16 is 80040 (99-00 Civic SI or 94-97 del Sol VTEC)

I purchased the Airmass Ceramic Header Honda Civic 92-95 #80524 from a seller on ebay for $94.90 shipped back in 2005. It is still on my 95 sol and I'm very happy with the purchase. About a year after I installed it, I took it off to wrap it because the temp under my hood went way up after I removed the stock manifold and heatshield. That made a huge difference in the under the hood temp.

Same. Fitment left something to be desired. Didn't really notice much difference with it installed to be honest.

unfortunately no, those parts are for a d-series and will not fit your b16. just save your money and get a good quality header.

or if you really need a budget header, i found a few here...look at the Number One brand or Pacesetter
http://www.nopi.com/dsp_parts.php?vs...t%20-%20Header
remember you need the b16 version

I should've included that my sol is a D15b7. Like dpetro1 said, that header is for the D series only.

you're gonna be goin backwards getting that header man. spend that money on having a muffler shop cut, bend, and reweld your hytech replica to get the clearance you need.

Meh.. I like my airmass header. I just swapped it in for an old DC 4-1 design. But the bottom 2 runners were more than half way caved in from the PO having the frame rails on the ground. I'm actually pretty impressed with the fitment, it's tight to the block and the oil pan, but doesn't hit anything. Just my 2 cents.

for clearance the dc header will probably be better b/c it is specifically made for the b16. the vibrant is universal for all b-series so it will probably be a bit longer to clear the taller b18/b20 deck height. in turn making it hang lower on your b16

DC Sports headers are garbage, they flow worse than the ITR header.

i say this because if you search around on here you see dyno charts proving the scavenging design and length of the header make a difference. here's someone selling them with some dyno charts. this is just one example. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...h+replica+test
