Help????!!!! Grinding noise from trans, car wont move(Aquafina or Mfactory)
B16A2, S4C trans
Installed Mfactory helical lsd, using Torco MTF. Stock gears and FD.
Just changed MTF after break in.
Went through a 4 way stop light over the hump came down had an awful grinding noise, car will not move. The engine runs fine, clutch is brand new, can engage all gears without problems. Can rock the car back and forth and get it to move a few inches then the grinding sound comes back no movement.
Took everything apart, had brand new drive axles splines and ring are perfect. Brand new ACT streetlite flywheel perfect, Brand new SPEC stage 2 clutch is perfect engages just fine. Transmission disassembled far enough to look at each gear and FD gears, all are in good shape, no cracks. Main drive splines are perfect. Magnet was fully coated with extremely fine metal.
The only thing I can think of now is that there is something wrong internally with the lsd.
Can someone shed some light as to what the problem may be or did I just get a bad lsd?
