any one ever have this happen? aeromotive filter
car was idling like shiz so after a few checked things i ran into this wtf,,,,the end cap came off and was blocking fuel into the fuel rail i got lucky
Yes the same thing happened to my aeromotive filter. It was a smaller filter on my daily driver. The car was tuned that way and then when I went to change it I noticed the filter was messed up. I changed the filter and my car was running pig rich.
I way to install the filter into the housing, but did you install the actual housing in the right direction? Like the housing should be marked in/out.

theres nothing wrong with aeromotive for ****s sake, ask a **** ton of people including me that have used their **** for several years.
lol..im not saying the replacement filter is 8 years old im saying ive been using the filter on this car for 8 years in other words i think i know wich way it is to be installed......the sad part about this is aeromotive **** is made in the usa ....(or supposed to be ))
That's what aeromotive told me to use. 100 in the back 10 in the front never had a prob with it until now.....out of curiosity why wouldn't I
Unless you're running your pump at it's absolute pressure limit and/or you need every last drop of fuel it can flow at that pressure (which would be recipe for disaster in the first place), a 2 or 3 psi pressure drop through a proper filter will not present any fuel delivery issues.
Pressure drop on the pressure side of the pump = pump compensates by doing extra 'work' (OK)
Pressure drop on the suction side of the pump = cavitation (not OK)

I agree Scott but our thirsty rotarys run castor oil in our fuel and that **** clogs up everything. Lol.
I filter my fuel before I put it in my tank.

Maybe rotaries are different, but I don't think the word on the street should be 'don't run filters, they restrict flow'. lol
Everyone is doing themselves a favor by running proper filters in the system. If the restriction a filter causes results in you running out of fuel pump, your pump is too small.

sounds like "i kept blowing the fuse, so i removed it from the system" i knew a kid that said that back when we were like 16 talking about the fuse for his sub amp haha
I made 40hp by removing my filters. Lol j/k
No I wouldn't recommend removing filters for everybody.
I just don't run 10 micron. I use 100
Although alot of cars I tune don't have any filters at all including in their injectors
