Default Key stuck in ignition

My key keeps getting stuck in the ignition after I shut the car off? Anyone have any thoughts what the problem could be??

Kind of an *** remark....

The steering wheel if locked can prevent the key from moving, try jiggling the steering wheel while doing it. Alternatively if you are cocking the steering wheel til it locks before removing the key it can cause issues.

My old 94 Accord used to do this. VERY irritating. I ended up just getting a new ignition. Fixed the problem.

Is the stuck key an OEM key or an after market key? Is this the first time using this key? Some non-OEM keys may not index correctly (it happened to me). The key body is not far enough away from the first notch on the key, and I was not able to push the key in far enough to disengage from the ignition lock. I had to use a dremel to cut a chamfer on the key body (by the shank). This allow me to push the key in further to disengage from the ignition. Good luck.

The key is able to turn just when I try to remove it it get stuck...I comes out after a few minutes of moving it around. The is stock with the remote on it and it also happens when I use the valet key. I just found out though that there is a recall on it so that good to know
