Default Anyone installed new windshield moldings?

I'm serious. It's a pain. I tried to save some cash by grabbing some moldings from the local salvage yard. I ordered a bunch of clips and figured out how the sides fit. I got the side ones on and good, but it seems the top upper molding shrinks over time. There's also a little strip of foam with adhesive on two sides of it that's supposed to fit in there too. Anyone done this and can offer some advice?

On the top molding, the only way your going to get it to fit right is by removing the windshield.. i tried to put it on without but i gave in and just paid them to remove and install glass and moldings.. GL
