Default evaluate my timeslip, slicks didnt fit, stuck with street tires

So my 97 hatch with stock gsr and a gt30r setup (374whp) went to the track last weekend. Brought a set of slicks, but dumbass me didnt test fit the rims ( didnt clear my calipers) so i was stuck using street tires. I spun through first and the upper half of second gear, my best time was a 13.3 @ 115.4 mph with a 60ft time of 2.45

obviously the car has much more potential on slicks. Can someone chime in and let me know what kind of further potential i have on slicks?

A ton.

With your mph of 115, that's an indication of a high 11 second pass alone with a high 1.6x to low 1.7x 60 ft. time with slicks.

Launching on slicks will however require some experimentation with tire pressures, launch rpm & how much boost you're leaving on.

What size are your slicks & what wheels are they mounted on?

people are going to ask you everything about your setup to try and give you a decent ## but the main three are hp (374) weight? (xxxx) what size slicks. (xxxx). if i had to make an educated guess i would assume your car is in the 2400lb range give or take a few. so if its in that area i dont see why low 12's or maybe better wouldnt be a problem.

i know that im 2700lbs 450hp on 24.5in slicks and im trapping around 125+ best run is around a 12.4 but my weight is hurting me and i dont have much seat time in this car.

best of luck and remember that the more seat time you can get the more coinsistant you will be. if you have the whole breakdown of the slip it will add to peoples input for you

Mike

What size slicks are you planning on using? My buddy went 11.3 at 119 on 22's with a little more power.
