whats the difference in a y7 and y8 valve cover???.....cause i done a y7/y8 mini and the valve cover wont fit ont he car at all

 

i ran into a similar issue with a Z6 (which is similar to a Y8) valve cover on a Y7. i didn't do much to figure out why, but i think it's got to do with the clearance between the baffle and the rockers. since the Y7 has aluminum rockers, they are a bit larger and require more clearance. many folks remove the baffle with no consequence, so that may be the fix.

 

so ur saying that grinding the riffits off the baffle on the top of the inside of the valve cover and remove to that baffle should give me enough clearance??

 

ok this was not the correct answer i grinded off all the riffits FOR NOTHING lol...its all good i will go pick up one tommorrow
