Car is located in Aurora, IL. Will meet up for test drives...but close to my house. My GF has been driving my EM1, so she hasn't re-registered this car and the tags are expired lol.
1998 Honda Accord LX (PICS AT BOTTOM):
-121K miles
-Green exterior, Tan interior
-Automatic
-Power windows, Power locks, Power mirrors, Keyless entry.
-Lots of recent tune up parts (listed below in details)
--Engine is a F23 SOHC VTEC 4 cylinder. EASILY gets 25-30mpg. Runs like brand new.
-Newer Michelin tires (80k mile tires)
-CLEAN CARFAX!
-NO BODY DAMAGE!
-NO ACCIDENTS! Every body panel has a VIN tag on it to prove it. I don't even think the car has any door dings, surprisingly.
-New OEM HONDA GENUINE Timing Belt and Water pump done at around 110k miles. Including new accesory belts and new cam/crank seals. COMPLETE job done.
-ICE COLD A/C.
-Heater blows hot.
-REALLY CLEAN CAR!
PRICING IS $5300 OBO. So if you don't like the price, please feel free to drop me an offer. The worst I can do is say no. I doubt you'll find one this clean/completely serviced for that price, though.
Feel free to ask more questions about the car, but here are some details and pictures:
The car is owned by my girlfriend. She bought it about 2 years ago from Valley Honda in Aurora, IL. It was inspected by the techs before we took delivery. At the time, two of my friends were working there as technicians. So the car was well looked over for issues. They also did us the courtesy of installing a brand new 100 month OEM Honda Battery before we took delivery.
I believe that we are the 2nd owners of the car. Again, the car has no accidents and a clean carfax. It has all the body panels with VIN tags to prove it.
The reason my girlfriend is selling the car is because I usually have about 3 or more cars and she just moved in with me. So she's just going to drive one of mine and use the money from this car to pay off school bills. No need for 4 cars at the same house. It's like moving a parking lot around every night lol.
This thing would be PERFECT for a college car if you or someone you know is going back to school for the fall. Would also make a good family car. Would also make a great daily driver or winter car to keep your other car in storage for the upcoming winter. It's quiet, roomy, safe, comfy and EVERYTHING works.
List of recent parts/services and time frame of replacement:
-Front brake pads/Rotors done ~8-10k miles ago.
-Rear brakes cleaned, inspected, and adjusted about 3 weeks ago.
-Timing belt and water pump, cam and crank seals done at ~110k miles. Also did the balance shaft belt and accesory belts at the same time. All OEM honda parts. I should be able to produce the receipts.
-Michelin Tires put on ~10-12k ago. Tires came with a 80k mile warranty. So barely any useage there.
-Recent alignment. A few months ago.
-Power steering pump put on about 12k miles ago due to a worn seal.
-Rotation and rebalance done recently.
-Full sized spare added on. Bought a brand spanking new Honda steel wheel and mounted a michelin tire onto that.
I'm sure I'm forgetting things as well. Since she was taking it to school and work, I made sure that EVERYTHING on the car was looked after and things were replaced and maintained in a timely manner. I've been working on Hondas for over 9 years for everything from light bulbs to full engine swaps. The car was looked after VERY well. Would not hesitate to buy this thing and drive across the country with it. Every single thing on the car works just fine. I doubt you'll find another accord of this year that's been this meticulously looked after.
IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE DOOR DINGS!! The only "body issues" with the car is that it has a few scratches and stuff from parking lots (normal for any car more than a day old), it has a few rock chips in the front end...also totally normal. NO RUST at all. Anywhere. Even the chassis underneath is rust free. We had the underbody washed every week or so in the winter along with a touch free car wash. I also epoxy coat most chassis parts on all my cars...and this one is no exception. Trust me. It's super clean.
The ONLY bad thing I can say about the car is that the Left Front sway bar link wore out and was making noise so I removed it this past weekend. I just haven't got around to installing the new one. I should have it installed later this week and will edit the posting accordingly. The only reason I even mention this is incase someone comes by for a test drive/inspection in the mean time. I don't want there to be any surprises.
On to the pictures!

Cool. Since you took the time to kbb it and post on my thread, you MUST be interested in the car. So instead of posting erroneous info on my thread, why not pm me your offer?
