so does the d15b7 disty

the d15b7 and d16y8 distributors have super close mounting. its why they work

the z6 mounting part of the distributor needs to be "modified" which is a terrible idea

plus the obd1 connector works with obd1 harness's

obd2 y8 disty will have to be wired in, F that

So your saying you'd rather "make something work" rather then spend the five minutes it takes to depin the two plugs on the stock harness and repin the single obd2 plug so you can use the correct distibutor for that set up? Hmmmmm interesting.

O/p, yes, the d15b7 has the same mounting points as the y8 dizzy, however I don't know if it will work 100% as it was not used on a vtec motor. I would use the y8 dizzy, if nothing else, to ruel out possibility of a problem later down the road

VTEC has NOTHING to do with distributor wiring

WTF

first match a disty that bolts in

then match teh disty with the OBD number

nothing else matters.

all obd0,1, and 2 honda sohc distributors have teh exact same sensors and wiring inside. mounting, and plug orientation are the only differences across them

DCRB thanks for your help but you got TOLD! haha.. btw, my car will crank but it wont start. there's no fuel running through the right side fuel hoes, which is a single one. it cranks tho. but how do you get fuel running through there?
there is two air vacuum hoes on the intake manifold, one one the back sensor pointing literally down and the other one is on the right side of the intake manifold thats pointing up on my PMG-FI manifold. anyone know where they're located?

the other one is behind the manifold on the sonsor pointed down.

I already got the car wired for obd1. I now have the original dx obd0 dizzy, the z6 dizzy that didn't bolt up correctly and i recently got the 95 dx dizzy that bolts up fine and is obd1. It now cranks but wont start.

Actually the "snail tail" inside the distributor is 180* out.

You'll stutter on acceleration and constantly throw code 9 with no solution... How would I know? I dealt with this issue.

Would have never had to deal with it if I didn't listen to "smart people" like this dude.

obd2 vtec distributor (d16y7 or d16y8)
either repin it for an obd1 plug, or put an obd2 plug on your engine harness.
verify your wiring as well.
