trying to do it myself
No matter what kind of vehicle you have, a Honda that is, the fan is not hard to change. Lets say you have two fan motors behind your radiator. Lets also say that your air conditioning is working. Turn on your AC, both fan motors will be commanded on, if one of them does not work then that is the motor you need to troubleshoot.
The first thing you do is make sure the fuse is good, if so, then you can hotwire the motor, if it works then you troubleshoot the wiring and the relay. If hotwiring did not make the motor run then you are where you are, asking how to remove it. The motor and fan are bolted to a plastic framework and possibly a shroud assy. Everything is probably 10mm bolts, the framework will be bolted to the radiator. You will probably have two bolts on top and two on the bottom area of the radiator so you may need to gain access from under the vehicle. Unplug the two wire harness connector, which should already be unplugged from you trying to hotwire it, pull the assy out, unbolt the motor from the framework, remove the fan blade and reinstall in reverse order. If you get a used motor, hotwire it to make sure it works and be careful. It does not matter which way you hotwire it for just a couple of seconds, just dont get your hands caught in the fan blade.
Maybe someone will post pictures from the repair manual for you, its not a hard job. If the motor initially hotwires good, then come back and get help with troubleshooting for power from the relay or fan controller or thermoswitches or any other problems.
