didn't you ever see that one initial D? The Civic's greatest rivals are the Trueno's and The Levin's. But in real life, i would say some V-Dub crap

I'd say a 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R or sumthin... maybe a Mazda Protege... ummm a Ford Escort ZX2 thingy... But I think the ARCH rival that the Civ has, and always beaten but there is some underlying rivalry. The Toyota Corrola.

The Tercel too maybe

The Ford Aspire Oh yeah and Supras, RX7's, and Vettes are real SPORTS cars! Not the same class as an ECONOMY car!
I think he was using that as an example.

I think in the US atleast the Corolla doesn't seem like such a big rival because we never got any of the FF GT-Ss after the AE91. Its rivaly between the B16 and the 4A-GE both produce roughly 160-170hp in fairly light FWD sport-ish economy cars. IMO

In japan the competion is the Mitshbshi cyborg or colt as it is in the UK. they do i high spec version like the type R. it revs to 8200rpm as standard.

i'd say pretty much anything cuz everyone who doesnt drive a civic seems to think they are slow. I think alot of you are forgetting preludes tho. It seems to me that most people who have those think they are somehow much more elite than people with civics cause there were less sold.

I think it's kind of silly to try and compare Civics to other cars because there's way too many factors to debate.

To be fair why not compare bone stock Civics to other bone stock cars.

If this is the case then we could basically look to any automotive magazine like ?Motor Trend, Car and Driver, etc. where they always pit the Honda Civic (Si) vs. the Mazda Protege', SVT Focus, blah blah blah.
