Top Bolt on Pedal Set

How do you get that ****ing nut off the top of the brake pedal? Do i have to drop the steering column? I am at a loss here and i dont have time to waste ****ing around w/ some bullshit.

You can use a universal joint IIRC to get at the top bolt. Although its probably easier to drop the column, its only 2 nuts and 2 bolts.
