The TTF rules don't allow for a lot of changes so it's basically an almost stock civic gutted with a few bolt-ons. Personally, I think it's great because you keep the cost down and reliability up ... unless you do a lot of off-roading 
10x on the fun factor, who cares if you'll never see the top of 4th gear.
